Korean Hanji

What do you think of this dress?

Isn't it lovely? Believe it or not, this dress is made of hanji or traditional korean paper that can last for thousand years. It was one of korean designers named Han Song who designed this extraordinary dress. If you see it at glance, you won't realize that it's made of paper.

Hanji, which was first used to make a book or canvas, has started to be used not only in fashion, but also interior decoration and even toys. Hanji, which is from the Mulberry trees, can be used as basic materials or covers.

Hanji has been exported to other countries outside Korea. Hanji can get people's attention in future as it does not have any bad effects toward the users.

American Idol Season 11

America Idol Season 11 has just ended and Phillip Phillips becomes the winner. The Top 2 Result Show has impressed me much since all the contestants, including Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez performed their best. Even, there were some duets with famous singers. And I think Jessica Sanchez and Hollie Cavanagh had the strongest performance in the show. Here are their videos:

Jessica Sanchez & Jeniffer Holliday - And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going

Hollie Cavanagh & Jordin Sparks - You'll Never Walk Alone

What do you think of those duets, girls?

My Dream Date

I can't deny that I'm falling in love with South Korea. Here what I have in mind. What if I had a date there (with my hubby of course)? If I had that opportunity, I didn't want to look old-fashioned.

Outfit #1

I would wear this if I had a date in Everland and shared ice creams with him :)

Outfit #2

The best look for watching Lantern Parade at night :)

Outfit #3

A dazzling outfit for a dazzling romantic dinner :)

School Days

School days can be so fun but sometimes these days can be a little bit complicated. Finding which clothes that you're going to wear isn't that easy. We sometimes forget whether we have already worn certain clothes this week or not. If you happen to have limited amount of clothes, mixing and matching will be the best way to survive at school. Going to school doesn't mean that we have to look so formal. You're not going to meet Prince William and Princess Kate right? Here are some styles you can have at your school days:

Casual Look
Prepare your sneakers and pedal pushers then you are ready to walk for hours after school with the girls xoxo...

Semi Casual Look
A pair of jeans combined with a cardigan and boots is not too much to meet the dean and hang out *grinning*
Semi Formal Look
Yet, it's possible for us to look a bit more formal in style. Just when you have to represent your school in a science competition. Check out your wardrobe and get a knee-length skirt and a blouse. Flats will lessen the formality of your look. Why don't you try it? :)

So, which style are you?

Destination Korea

I've just posted my 3rd post in May and the topic is still related to Korea. I guess I'm in love with this dazzling country. Everyday at least for 30 minutes I spend my time in front of the TV and watch Korea TV Stations like KBS or Arirang. There is one program in Arirang that makes me love this country more than before. It's Destination Korea which gives us more picturesque places of South Korea. Here is one of the episodes that I like, enjoy it :)

Hopefully, I will get more money to save so that one day I can go to this amazing country and visit the places that I have watched in TV before. Visiting Korea will be one of my long-term plans and now I wanna do one of my short-term plans which is trying more Korea cuisine in the restaurant that I've visited with my friends before :)

This is the thing that always makes me smile whenever they express their love SARANGAE :)

Korean Style --> Fashion Addict

Korea has started to show its power. Not only in its technology and culture, but also its famous music genre called K-Pop and fashion industry. You can find a lot of information in the internet about it and of course you can shop Korean-liked clothes. Of course it is possible for us to transform ourselves into a Korean yet it will spend a lot of money and time as well. We can be like Korean actually and the simplest way to get it is wearing an outfit that has Korean characteristic which is extraordinary (in my opinion).

Here is the thing. Korean men and women are very confident with themselves, especially when they have to show their fashion style. Maybe I can say that they are unique in a good way. So, the first thing that you need to have is CONFIDENCE.

Next, having Korean style means you need to be brave enough to MIX and MATCH color, patterns and styles. Yes, Korean are well-known for their guts to mix an old-fashioned style with Western style so that they will come with their uniqueness.

Last but not least, prepare more space in your wardrobe for ACCESSORIES. Headbands, jewelries, stockings, shoes and bags. They love them all.

Finally, imitating a Korean doesn't mean that you need to change your personality. Be YOURSELF and let clothing do the rest xoxo....

Everland Resort

I had a chit-chat with my student named Mrs. Park. She is from Korea and I am so thankful for having her as my student. I love South Korea and she can give me a lot of knowledge about the culture, habits, fashion even politics. She does make me envious whenever she goes back to her country for months T.T The most inetersting thing is that I always get something new whenever we meet and she even tells me things that I cannot find in the internet (maybe I can but I don't know) :) And this morning, she told me about the city parks in South Korea. There are many city parks there where people can walk their dogs or go jogging in the morning. The place where I can't find in my hometown :( Then, she shared about her experience of visiting the amusement park called EVERLAND which was built by Samsung. I searched in the internet and olala....it's SO BEAUTIFUL! God, I wish I had enough money to go to South Korea and visit this EVERLAND.

Korean Cuisine

Finally, my friend and I went to taste Korean cuisine in Musiro Fusion Korea Food in Jl. Gejayan. I feel so full now and it's merely because I ate too much. I, well my friends too, thought that the portion wouldn't be that much. after we ordered and the food came, we were so surprised to see the portion. Fyuuh thank God I only ate a little for my lunch before. Here are what I ordered and made my stomach so full now...

Kimchi (fermented and seasoned Korean vegetables)

Tok Galbi (stirred beef mixed with onions and sweet sauce)

Sagwa (or apple) Juice

Toppoki (rice cake with red pepper sauce)
