It Ain't A Goodbye

And yes, that day finally came. My little sister has moved to another city to continue her study. Feeling sad? Of course, I won't deny it. Time does fly. Back when I first met her in our private class. I saw a young girl who looked a bit tomboy compared to the other students from her school. But again, never judge a book from its cover. Even though she is tomboy, deep inside of her is a sweet and caring girl. As the time went by, we got closer and the sad thing was I decided to resign from my job and at that time she was very busy with her cheerleading practice. It turned out that God permitted us to meet again. I remember when I was on the way home, I saw her walking on the sidewalks. She was so surprised when I suddenly stopped in front of her and called her name. She shouted my name, ran to me and gave a tight hug and of course people were looking at us lol. Since that day, my days have been more colorful whenever we have our class. The teacher - student relationship has become an older sister - younger sister relationship.

For these years, we have shared lots of things but the saddest one I can't forget is when she injured her knee and needed to stay in the hospital :-( Thankfully, she could get recovered fast. After some weeks, we met again and she jumped out of her big car and I was like panic. But she gave me a big smile on her face, sooo glad that she recovered fully.

There is one thing I hope, I hope we will be sisters for the rest of our life. Wherever we are, the bond remains in our hearts. Just as she said, words can't even express <3<3<3. Be a good girl there and hope to see you again, soon :-*

Let It Flare

In the past I thought wearing a long skirt or dress was such a bothering thing since you couldn't move as freely as you could. Yet, this thought has changed and I started to use it although only on special occasion like wedding party. Actually, I really wanna try using this long skirt or dress in daily life like hanging out or going to church but I'm not confident enough, especially with this condition where I gain more weight T.T. After all, people here are not usual yet to see people wearing it or even dress up unless these people are the ones who use hijab.

I guess, I still need to collect all my confidence first. I don't know when, but one day I will make my breakthrough. Wish me luck, girls XOXO

Sailor Dress, Childhood Memory

Recently, one of the TV stations in my country is running an old TV program again. I watched it and I even didn't wanna miss any single episodes of it. It's an anime from Japan entitled Sailormoon (click here to watch). An ordinary student who turned into a heroine who wears a sailor dress.

Since then, I have always thought that sailor dresses are super cute and can make the person who wears it look younger and girly.

They're super cute, aren't they? xoxo

Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman

Yes, the title of this post reminds me of a song sung by Britney Spears long time ago, I think I was still in senior high when I listened to this song for the first time. Not bad though since it shows that as a woman, I have undergone this stage. And now it's your turn, my dear little sister :)

Back to the past for a moment. I met her when I was still working in my office at that time. I remembered our first meeting. The first impression I had was she was smart, talkative and tomboy. We became closer and closer and I was sad when I decided to resign from my job since I wasn't able to meet her again. It turned out that God didn't let me feel such feeling too long. I was given an opportunity to meet her again YEY!

From teacher - student relationship, now I think our relationship has become more like older sister - younger sister relationship. But I'm glad that I can feel being a sister for her. The most important thing besides helping her study is that I, at least, can help her a little bit to be a more feminine girl. Even though it is kinda hard for her but slowly she has shown some changes and I'm proud of her :)

I wanna help you with some ideas for your style in the future. I hope you like them xoxo

Blocked Mind

It's been a while sine the last time I wrote a post here. Things were kinda hectic and i experienced what so called as BLOCKED MIND. See, I had things to write but I didn't know how to start it. I didn't want to force myself to make a post here rather than I wasn't satisfied enough with the result. When I stuck in "that cage", I realized something. Writing isn't as easy as copying. When our mind doesn't get along very well with the topic, you can stand upside down and still you can't produce something.

So, do we need to write a post in our blog every day? Well, if you don't have any difficulty and of course time, writing a post every day is a good thing to do. However, we can't deny that there will be time when we get frustrated because of something and it affects our creativity. When you are in this stage, it might be better for you to stay away from your computer or laptop. Try to refresh your mind by doing things that you like most, like what I have done. In this case, I did lots of window shopping and a little bit of shopping too xoxo.

When you enjoy yourself doing things that you like, it doesn't mean that you will completely lose your writing ability and creativity. Instead, you become more creative than before. You know, ideas can appear by themselves. So, no need to force yourself to make a post every day if you can't do it. Blogging isn't that frustrating anyway :D

A Book of Life - 1st and 2nd pages

Well, I started to open a new page in my book of life. Today is the second page and I have got some plans. Since yesterday I was kinda hectic packing all the things from my office and going out to some places, today I wanna enjoy my time. Well actually, last night I got a message from the office that I was asked to go to my office again today, but I refused it. Wow, what a brave girl! I have made an appointment with my aunt and I didn't wanna cancel it.

I wanna start my own business yet I still have no experience in doing it. Right now, I am a member of a multi-level marketing business. I hope by joining it, I can get experiences that I haven't got so far. I have already bought a book entitled The Magic too. It seems that I have planned my activities right? Yes, but I realize that someday I need to have other activities. Thank God next month I am having my private English lesson. Even though 1 student only, but I thank God for giving such opportunity that I don't have to get bored and moneyless at home.

I hope what I am doing so far and what I am going to do will be useful for me and of course my family. Things may happen in the future and we can't predict them. That's why I try to open my new pages of life wholeheartedly. I wanna learn to be more grateful from today.

Life is Colorful...Indeed

Well, what can I say life is colorful. It has so many colours that we can't even predict what might happen next. Two days ago there were some incidents happened.

First, something to do with a chicken. I left my house around 2 hours before the class started. I didn't ride my motorcycle fast. On the way, there was an SUV car in front of me. It didn't run fast either. The car suddenly stopped. I thought that it was because of the queue for the traffic lights, so I stopped my motorcycle too. While waiting, the driver pressed the horn again and again. I was a bit curious and wanted to know what was in front of the car. Yet, the car was too big for me. After a while, the car finally moved again. So, I started to accelerate my motorcycle. I was so surprised when suddenly I saw a little chicken was almost hit by me. I immediately pressed the brake. Thank God my feet could step on the ground and I didn't fall. The chicken looked confused and it walked under my motorcycle. I tried to take it out but it was difficult to me. Finally, there was an old man came and helped me. he shouted at the chicken, HUSS...HUSS...and the chicken ran away from the street. I was so glad that I didn't hit it. If it had happened, I would have been feeling guilty.

Second, something to do with the new co-worker. There was a new co-worker in my office. She was assigned to have peer observation in my class that day. As scheduled, she came to the class and did the observation. We also had some chit chat during the lesson. The thing that a bit surprised me was after the class she gave me feedback (fyi: feedback is usually given by coordinators). She said I made mistakes on pronunciation FAST and ASK. I was supposed to use British English, instead of American English. It turned out that the feedback created such issue for other workers. They thought that she shouldn't have done that. She's not coordinator and she's in our office because she needed some examples on teaching. The thing that made my friends irritated most was her attitude. As a new worker in our company, she should have greeted first. Yet, she kept silent. Honestly, I don't care for the feedback because I don't want to create a problem. after all it's just pronunciation. And for her attitude, maybe she still keeps distance with us since she is in anew environment and needs time to adapt. Hopefully, the feedback matter won't happen to other teachers and she will behave better :)

Life is colorful, right? We don't know what will happen to us. The best thing is that we enjoy every activity that we do. And it's better not to create any problems in our surroundings, no matter we are newcomers or not.

My Fashion Faux Pas

What would you feel when you wore wrong outfit in a party? It's embarrassing right? It happened to me last Monday. The story is like this. Last Monday my husband and I attended our friend's wedding party. At that time, it was cloudy and I didn't feel like dressing too much, so I decided wearing my green satin blouse and a pair of trousers. When we came there, there weren't many people arrived yet. The groom and bride were inside the building, while all of guests were led to the outdoor tent to enjoy the meals. It was still cloudy but I didn't know why I got sweating. It ran as if a river flew, it didn't stop even it fell down again and again.  In a few minutes the back part of my blouse was wet. My husband realized it and he asked me to move to other place to get some air. Yet, it was getting worse and then the front part of my blouse was wet, too. Geez, I was so embarrassed. Afetr a while, my husabnd asked me to go the car. So, I stood up and walked fast to the car. And I spent the rest of the time waiting for my husband in the car alone.

It's kinda embarrassing I got one lesson though. So girls, never wear satin blouses or dresses when you feel that the weather isn't friendly enough for you.

Blowing Bubble

Bubbles...things which are very light and soft. In order to make them we only need to blow for seconds. How about making your dreams come true? Will it be as easy as creating blowing bubbles? If achieving my dreams were that easy, I would be very happy because everything that I want comes true.
"If I blew my bubbles easily", I would :

  • be a fashion designer (FACT: I can't draw LOL)
  • have my own clothing line and own many boutiques
  • be a successful businesswoman, a good wife for my husband (of course) and a good mother for my future children.
Once again...I wish it would be as easy as blowing bubbles :)

Just My Imagination

Here I am....alone and sitting in front of my computer. At first, I watched a movie but I felt bored, so I decided to browse the internet. While I was doing it, this song suddenly came in my mind and it keeps singing till now.

Gwyneth Paltrow & Baby Face - Just My Imagination
(such a relaxing song)

Okay, what else did I have in mind? As always, I let my brain lead to create these sets and I didn't know why they are lacy outfits. Honestly, I don't really mind wearing lace dress, but I prefer other materials. So, what on earth can i have lace in my mind? Hmpphhh.....Anyway, what do you think?

On a Daily Basis

2 weeks off…YES! It’s been almost a week since the last time I taught my classes and I still have a lot of days to enjoy. Staying at home really gives me new refreshments after days, months or even years I have been busy with my hectic schedule both at the office and home. Frankly speaking, I spend most of my time at the office and it doesn’t feel good at all. So, I wanna enjoy my 2 weeks off as best as I can.

  •  Taking a nap

I miss this activity so much when I’m at the office. Yes, my working hours don’t give me time to take a nap. For the last 6 days I always do this relaxing activity. And it turns out that it gives me more energy. When I get up in the morning, I don’t feel as tired as before. I guess it’s because I have more time to take a rest.

  • Cooking

You know that I don’t really like cooking. But I don’t know why I start to enjoy it. Even yesterday I tried to cook new menu and I did it! My husband loved it, yey! I guess if we aren’t in a rush or tired, cooking can be fun *as long as the dish we cook isn’t difficult. LOL*

  • Reading a novel

It’s been years I guess I didn’t read any novels. There are some reasons why I don’t do my old hobby. First, I don’t any time when I go home from office. Second, I’m too tired and it makes me lazy to read. Third, when I’m tired I prefer watching something to reading because reading can make me sleepy and the story becomes less interesting. And finally now I can read a novel Winter in Tokyo written by Ilana Tan. It’s her 4th book and I’ve read the previous 3, they’re all great and connected each other. You should try to read them.

  •  Body and hair treatments

I never get bored with these activities; I think you also enjoy them. When I’m busy with my classes I become lazy to do the treatments. But now, I don’t have any things to do. And of course I do the treatments. I have got something to share. 4 days ago I wanted to have hair treatment but I was too lazy to go to the hairdresser’s that I usually have the treatment because it’s too far. Therefore, I decided to try a hairdresser’s near my house. The building looked nice from the outside, but when I entered that place; my feeling said that it’s not as good as the one that I usually come. And I was right, I had the hair spa. Instead having smooth hair, my hair became frizzier. Better to be careful when you want to come to a new place. Why don’t you ask your friends to give you good recommended hairdresser’s?

I think I will miss some of these activities when I get back to work again…

- No Title -

Let me shout ...
Let other people know what I feel ...
What would you do if you were me?
Would you let yourself stay in silence?
NO!
Never let yourself get trapped in this discomfort too long ...

A Pray

Dear God, I'm entering that room for the second time in my life next month. I hope everything will be all right. I can't deny that I was surprised to hear such news from him. And now I'm afraid ...
I know that it's being done for my own sake, for my future and for our future. So, help me and give me strength please, amen ...

If I were ...

I've been dealing with kids, teenagers and adults for about 6 years. Since the first day I signed the contract till now, I have never worn a skirt or even a dress to work. It's not because I have an allergy to this feminine attire. It's merely because I just wanna move freely. You know, being a teacher isn't that easy. Sometimes I have to sit down on the floor with them or even join the kids playing games in class, running, dancing and things like that. Can you imagine if I wear a skirt or a dress while doing these active movements? O.M.G maybe I'll tear it LOL...

Anyway, I can't deny that I'm getting more feminine. Back to when I was still young, I used to be so tomboy and avoid wearing that feminine attire. I just didn't feel confident to wear them. But I have already turned the page and now here I am. Feeling much more confident while wearing it ^^

If I had the chance to teach my students without being asked to move a lot ...
If I didn't have to obey the rules ...
If I were confident enough ...

I would wear this lovely work attire ^^

Journey to the West

Finally, I'm back again ^^
It's been a while since the last time I wrote a post, perhaps it was a month ago. Since I left Jogja to attend the wedding reception in Surabaya, I felt so tired. Anyway, the wedding reception was great! I think it was the greatest and luxurious wedding reception I have ever attended. There were some famous people who were involved in it. And that amazing night was ended by one of Indonesian divas. What a romantic night it was ^^

After staying for about 3 days there, my husband and I went back to Jogja. We tried different route because our friend told us that the route that we're gonna take was quieter and faster. Moroever, it had beautiful scenery because it was on the mountain. So, we decided to take it and she was right.

the street was quiet like this for almost an hour

its cool weather was a perfect place to plant vegetables

Dear Uncle and Auntie

This evening, I was invited to my auntie's 26th wedding anniversary dinner. I was so happy because my husband finally could attend it too (thanks dear). My uncle and aunt, they looked happy this evening. Yes, it's their happy day and love was in the air. I still remember 4 years ago. I came to their 22nd wedding anniversary dinner and at that time I wasn't married yet. They were as happy as they are now. I have chosen my uncle to be the witness in my wedding last year. Since the day I decided to choose him, I have made my choice to have him and my auntie as the role model of my marriage. I do hope I can be like them who always love each other and can build a happy and loving family. I wanna be like my auntie who can be very close to her daughters. She can be their mom as well as their best friend.
Happy anniversary Uncle and Auntie. May God bless you always with happiness :)
Ps: I just love this quote xoxo...

What a Glam Night!

Next week, I'm leaving my hometown Jogja with my husband and parents-in-law. We're going to Surabaya, it will be my first time to go there, to attend a wedding reception. This morning I got the invitation and it looked elegant and exclusive. I was wondering how much they spent for the invitation only. Anyway, the thing that concerns me most isn't the money that they're spending. That wedding reception will be my first time to be in a high-class society. Perhaps I can say that these people are the socialites! It makes me a bit afraid to be there actually. If I had another choice, I would prefer staying in Jogja and doing my daily routines. Unfortunately, I don't have that choice. I must, wait! No no... I have to be there although I don't want to.
When I remember my past, I had the dream to be in such society. But now as the opportunity comes, I feel afraid. I know I shouldn't feel like that. But is it okay to feel it since it's the first time for me? I haven't decided what dress I'm gonna wear in the reception. But I have a hope that I will wear one of them :)

I love black *wink*

And I love purple too *wink wink*

Just My Luck!

This month I think I am so lucky because I have the opportunity to be observed twice. Not a good news of course. I was so relieved after finishing the first observation with one of the coordinators two weeks ago. And last week when I came to my office I saw a paper hung on my locker and taraaaaaa........another observation schedule and the worse thing is I'll be observed by a native >_______<. GREAT! After the Branch Manager from Jakarta now it's a NATIVE. JUST MY LUCK! Why do I always get extraordinary people as my observers in class? T.T Jamie is observing my class tonight. I think I won't be this nervous if the lesson is easy to teach. The problem is the lesson is one of those which is not really easy to be understood by students. Moreover, there is only one or two students who come on-time and they are sometimes quiet and make me difficult to do elicitation. I have already prepared the lesson plan and I hope it will work and my students can cooperate with me. I can't deny that there are a lot of butterflies flying in my stomach and they won't go away until the class is over. It is a challenge for me and I hope I can do it well. God, help me please. Wish me luck, girls....

Ps: I don't like BEING OBSERVED :(

I AIN'T a SUPERWOMAN

After the accident happened last Wednesday, I have more bruises on my legs, a stiff neck and left arm. Yesterday, my husband didn't allow me to ride motorcycle to work and he took me there. Since he had something to do out of town, I went home with my best friend, makcik. It was raining and there weren't many vehicles passing by. I completely forgot that  makcik was afraid of quiet and streets. I felt guilty because of that. So, this afternoon I forced myself to ride motorcycle to work although my husband didn't allow me. I told him that I was okay and strong enough to ride it again.

When I arrived at the office, my friends were surprised and felt pity because I wasn't fully healed yet and I had to go to office by myself. I'm fine, friends but I ain't a superwoman. I tried not to feel the pain while riding my motorcycle. The thing that motivated me to do so is INDEPENDENCE. I don't want to bother other people if I'm still strong enough to do something by myself. And yes I did it! Even though it took more time, I could arrive at my lovely house safely :)

Ps: I love this following quote :)
